It is the best and the worst day to come to Avalon.
Crowds, no parking, brown bombers issuing parking tickets ...
versus
a peachy late spring sticky day, funky music and a strolling beach-attired crowd.
I aim to eat something at every food stall along the way.
See how I go.
I am confident as I am packing an appetite as I approach the first stall.
The first stop is the Baklava tent. A small finger of baklava starts the day well, except my fingers are quite sticky, bad for the camera.
Homemade iceblocks, just what I feel like, the boysenberry and cream is the pick of the maker, so that's the one for me.
These artisan pops are made by this enterprising duo whose range includes alcohol pops (not on sale here).
Next is a Turkisk Gozeme, make fresh by loving hands (if a bit sweaty).
Next is a morsel of Hungarian pastry.
Walnut Strudel (Beigli), definitely needed a dollop of fresh cream.
The guy at the Wagyu beef stall was telling rubes that the marbling fat in the beef was full of Omega 3 and was actually very healthy, oh well he must be right, here goes,
A tasty piece of Wagyu sausage, mmm... this challenge is a piece of cake.
Bring on the next stall...
To be continued ...
you will have to carry wet ones with you in the future... looking forward to the next installment :)
